DESCRIPTION:
Books for Treats Day falls on Halloween and aims to replace candy with books as Halloween treats. Created by Rebecca Morgan, it started in San Jose, California's Willow Glen neighborhood, in 2001. She would eventually say. "Feeds the kids' minds, not their cavities."
The movement has spread across the United States and Canada, where Trick or Treating is a Halloween tradition.
