One of several events per year held by the Intimate Apparel Council, Intimate Apparel Week seeks to stimulate growth within the industry by creating a forum to actively identify, address, and act on matters of interest to the intimate apparel industry.
The council cooperates with consultants and others in gathering information of special concern to intimate apparel design houses and engages in public relations programs for the benefit of the consumer, the retailer and the manufacturer and design house.
During Market Weeks, intimate apparel companies meet with retailers to show new lines of fashions ranging from bras and panties to sleepwear, robes, loungewear and shape wear.
Often retailers run sales during this week to heighten awareness..
