Each year more than 60,000 children under the age of four are treated in emergency rooms for burns in the United States.
Burn Awareness Week is observed the first full week in February. It provides an opportunity for burn, fire, and life safety educators to unite in elevating awareness of the causes and best practices in preventing burns from fire, chemicals, and friction in children.
