Returning from the last exhibit in Saudi Arabia, Desert X is back in California, highlighting the Cahuilla People of the Coachella Valley, where this year's event occurs.
Desert X, inaugurated in 2016 in the California desert and is a regular international contemporary art exhibition held in desert locations with exhibits by acclaimed international artists.
Its purpose is multi-fold. It's about the temporary art exhibits supporting desert ecosystems and indigenous communities and promoting cultural exchange. The theme of Desert X changes year to year, and in 2020 and 2022, the production went international in Saudi Arabia's famed Al Ula mountains.
Desert X is always free to the public.
