DESCRIPTION:
In French, the word mousse means "foam." Chocolate mousse is an airy, rich, and light chocolate custard. It originated in France sometime in the mid-nineteenth century. The first written record of the dessert is found in the 1892 brochure of the Food Exposition, held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Chocolate Mousse Day is an unofficial holiday with no sponsor.
