About National Blueberry Month

DESCRIPTION:
Since 2003 the NABC and the US Department of Agriculture have recognized July as National Blueberry Month.
The Canadian Government also recognizes its National Blueberry Month in August.
Blueberries are grown in 36 of the 50 states in the US and are a favorite summer fruit, high in anti-oxidants and other health benefits.
Celebrations this month include family discounts at u-pick farms, recipe contests, promotions at super markets and farmers markets, in addition to blueberry festivals throughout the country.
