In the United Kingdom, Parkinson's Awareness Week aims to raise awareness about the disease and strives to urge people to do something positive that benefits people living with Parkinson's.
This week occurs annually the week of April 11th, the birthday of James Parkinson (April 11, 1755) who first wrote about the disease in 1817.
