DESCRIPTION:
Created by French horticulturist Francis Meilland in the late 1930s, the Peace Rose is hybrid tea rose that is soft yellow with pink tinged outer petals. It earned its name because it was shared with other countries to protect it, in the year leading up to the Second World War.
Peace Rose Day marks the anniversary of the fall of Berlin, April 29, 1945. It was the end of Nazi Germany and the war in Europe would finally come to an end within the next ten days.
