November 22, 1877 saw the creation of the American Humane Society, an organization dedicated to saving domesticated, farm animals and animals in general from abuse and neglect. The goal of the American Humane Society a world where no child or animal becomes a victim of abuse. On this day, members of this society encourage people to learn more on how to treat animals and children the more humane way.
