June is Stroke Awareness Month in Canada. This campaign raises awareness on the prevention, treatment and care of stroke and stroke patients.
There are local events that people can participate such as seminars, fun runs and symposiums. Sponsored by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, this campaign also allows people to learn more about the more innovative approach in treating patients who suffered from strokes.
