An Alascattalo is a mythical creature, part moose and part walrus.
Alascattalo Day is Alaska's answer to honoring humor and includes a parade (the world's shortest—part of the humor) in Anchorage each year. There is humor, and then there is Alaskan humor, which is a special treat during the long winter nights.
