DESCRIPTION:
Truffle Day celebrates truffles, the chocolate candy with a sweet or nutty filling. These candy box delights first appeared in the 1920s in Europe and come in three key varieties: American, European and Swiss. Each style is distinctive with various differences in size, texture and shelf life. Both Swiss and French truffles need to be eaten within a day or two of their creation and tend to be small and round. American truffles can generally last years and tend to be larger or oval in shape.
