DESCRIPTION:
Today is Iodine Deficiency Disorder (IDD) Day. Iodine deficiency is the lack of the trace element iodine in the human body. It can result in several issues, leading to developmental delays and other health problems.
IDD Day seeks to raise awareness about this problem and how to prevent it, including adding small amounts of iodine to table salt.
Seafood is also a great source of iodine.
