Most butterflies are very colorful and you will see them during the day. The antenna of butterflies have notches at the end, bent somewhat to look like a golf club. Moths have antennas like cats whiskers, long and ending in a point.
Butterflies live on the nectar of flowers, and like bees, help with pollination. The average lifespan of a butterfly is 3-4 weeks. Currently there are about 20,000 species of butterflies with 10% of the world's population in Mexico.
