Good Friday was chosen because it is the darkest day of the year in the Christian calendar. All seems lost, fear prevails, and doubts set in. Good Friday is the day Jesus was crucified. A person going through a divorce often feels this helpless. But then it is followed by the happiest day of the year, Easter—a day of resurrection, life renewed, forgiveness, and hope.
