World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or COPD Awareness Month is an awareness campaign seeking to educate the public about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and how to improve the lives of those whom have it.
First held in 2002, each year has its own unique focus with participation in events involving health care organizations, government agencies and educators.
Free pulmonary check-ups may be available in your home town. Check with your local healthcare provider for listings.
