Oropharyngeal Cancer Awareness day is part of Us vs. HPV Prevention Week began in 2019. The day focuses on Oropharyngeal Cancer, or cancer of the oropharynx. Typical causes include smoking or contracting the human papillomavirus; its most notable symptom is a neck lump and a sore throat.
The initiative aims to increase public and practitioner awareness of HPV, HPV-related diseases, and the importance of HPV vaccination.
