Go Fishing Day is a time for people to invite friends to go fishing at any body of water.
Fishing dates back to the beginning of the Paleolithic period (3.3 million years ago). However, it was only in the 17th century that fishing as recreation gained momentum.
In 1653, Izaak Walton published the Complete Angler or Contemplative Man’s Recreation, which focused on the angler who fishes for the sake of fishing.
