Postponed from April 2020 due to COVID-19. The International Science Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, premiered in 1989. Each year it encourages people to open their world and celebrate science and technology. Throughout the two week program, attendees are encouraged to explore and immerse themselves in wonder through innovative events. This is the world's oldest annual celebration of science and technology. PLEASE NOTE: All televised and venue specific events (sporting, concerts, trade shows, etc.) should be treated as estimated, even if the dates are set. Several factors can cause an event to change dates at the last minute including weather, strikes, natural disasters, political upheaval, conflicting programming and current events. Created in 1931 as Criss Cross Butts renamed as Scrabble, and redesigned and marketed by James Brunot in 1948.
