Bisexuals are sexually attracted to both sexes. In recent years this event has expanded to include biromantics, people whose romantic orientation connects with both sexes. This event first ran in 1999.

Grape (and Wine) Jamboree, Geneva, (US-OH): September 23-24

The local grapes, especially the concords, are featured at the annual Geneva Grape JAMboree held the final weekend of September. The Jamboree is a celebration of the grape harvest. Visitors may taste grapes, freshly squeezed grape juice, grape pies, wine, and other grape products. All grandstand entertainment, including the "grape stomping," is free. There are two giant parades: Saturday, 1:30 pm, and Sunday, 2:00 pm. The art show, craft show, wine tasting, car show, and exciting exhibits make the JAMboree a fun, JAM-packed weekend for the entire family. PLEASE NOTE: Treat all televised and venue-specific events (sporting, concerts, trade shows, etc.) as estimated. Neptune Day (1846): September 23

On September 23, 1846, German astronomer Johann Gottfried Galle of the Berlin Observatory discovered the 8th planet in our solar system, Neptune. He found it using mathematic equations from a predictive model developed by Urban Le Verrier. Blue in color, the planet is made of ice and has 14 moons orbiting it. Neptune requires 165 years to orbit the sun and is named after Neptune, the Roman god of the sea.

Pet Walk, World's Largest: September 23

Initiated in 2018, The World's Largest Pet Walk is an annual fundraiser in which you pledge to take the pet of your choice out for a walk and have people sponsor you. Your pet can be a goldfish in a bowl, a horse, a dog, or even a pet rock if something breathing isn't available. All that is important is you get out and get moving. Funds raised support Pet Partners' Therapy Animal Program, which works with various patients, from those with Alzheimer's, PTSD, and addiction, to end-of-life care and those with disabilities. Rabbit Day, Intl.: September 23

International Rabbit Day promotes the protection and care of both domestic and wild rabbits. In its mission statement, House Rabbit Society, the sponsor, states: "ALL rabbits are valuable as individuals, regardless of breed purity, temperament, state of health, or relationship to humans. The welfare of all rabbits is our primary consideration. In line with our mission, we are against the exploitation of rabbits. Domestic rabbits are companion animals and should be afforded at least the same individual rights, level of care, and opportunity for longevity as commonly afforded to dogs and cats who live as human companions."

Radha Ashtami (H): September 23

Radha Ashtami (Radha Jayanti) celebrates the birthday of Radha, the goddess of love and the companion of Krishna. Depictions include renderings of a milkmaid and the embodiment of the soul. Radha Ashtami falls on the Asthami tithi during Shuka Paksha of the Hindu month Bhadrapada (Bhado). Devotees fast during the day and worship Radha.
