International Fire Fighters’ Day (IFFD) is a time where the world’s community recognize and honor the sacrifices that fire fighters make to ensure that their communities and environment are as safe as possible. It is also a day current and retired fire fighters can be thanked for their service. Firefighter became a occupation at the time of Jesus in ancient Rome under Augustus Cesar.
