This category covers historical events that fall on or near a specific day (or sometimes a month). It may be a birthday, a death day, a patent filing, or an event in the news. .

You'll know an event is an anniversary by its format in LEEP Calendar. All have the year of their origin in the title:

iPod Day, Intl. (2001): October 23

Translation: International iPod Day celebrates the anniversary of the premiere of the iPod on October 23, 2001.

Each event includes up to six categories. To focus your results further, use Advanced Search to add categories and narrow your results (requires paid membership).

For example:

• Add the Political category for national historic events.
• The Book category narrows results to literary achievements.
• The Technology category is inventions and patents.
