World Asthma Day is an annual event organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) to improve asthma awareness and care worldwide. World Asthma Day occurs on the first Tuesday in May.
GINA launched in 1993 as a collaboration with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, USA, and the World Health Organization.
