Created in 1949 by Mental Health America, National Mental Health Month seeks to:
1) Build public awareness of the importance of mental health to one's overall health and wellness;
2) Inform the public of the ways that the mind and body interact with each other;
3) Provide tips and tools for taking positive actions to protect mental health and promote whole health.
Hundreds of organizations participate throughout the United States. Check with local Mental Health facilities for events in your city.
