The first work week (Monday-Friday) of October is the Drive Safely Work Week (DSWW).
DSWW is a five-day event sponsored annually by the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS).
Its purpose is to raise awareness about traffic safety and remind people to plan their journey to work and prepare for different and unexpected driving conditions. This event first ran in 1996.
