DESCRIPTION:
National School Lunch Week in the United States by the School Nutrition Association (SNA) promotes healthy eating habits, mainly focusing on what constitutes a nutritious lunch. School lunch and breakfast programs are the only food many children receive daily, especially those from poor neighborhoods.
This event is proclaimed by the President of the United States each year. It first ran in 1962 under the Kennedy Administration.
