Bridge Day is held annually on the third Saturday of October and is the world’s largest extreme sporting event.
On Bridge Day, BASE jumpers leap off the longest single-span bridge in the United States. To participate in the festival as a BASE jumper, you must have completed 100 parachute jumps before the event. Bungee jumping is not allowed during the event, but there is a 600-foot zip line and a catwalk 851 feet above the river that non-BASE jumpers can join. Families can also enjoy this event, for the local community has restaurants that cater to families with children.
