About International Animal Pain Awareness Month

DESCRIPTION:
International Animal Pain Awareness Month seeks to educate and inform pet parents about proper pain management in their pets. Acute is easily spotted, and the animal is visibly distressed. Chronic pain is often subtle and can derive from aging, medications, physical exertion, repetitive motion, and poor diet. Treating animal pain, like human pain, uses several techniques, including acupuncture, lasers, massage, and medication.
This month take the opportunity to learn about the types of pain and treatment that may affect your pets and what you can do to spot them and avoid them.
