The largest country in terms of population is China, with 1.45 billion people, and the smallest is the Holy See, with just 800 citizens.
Currently, the following states are not recognized as separate nations at the UN:
Kosovo, Taiwan, Western Sahara, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Northern Cyprus
