DESCRIPTION:
On February 3, 1959, Richie Valens age 17, Buddy Holly age 22 and JP Richardson age 24, three 1950s era Rock-n-Roll singers, died in a plane crash on their way to a performance.
This night became known as 'The Day the Music Died' and was later popularized in the song American Pie sung by Don McLean.
