About the Hindu Holiday Ratha Saptami

Ratha Saptami is a Hindu observance that falls on the Saptami or seventh day in the Shukla Paksha (bright half) in the Hindu month Magha.
The day is symbolic for the change of season. For most Indian farmers, it is an auspicious start of their new work year.
