Engineers Week was first created in 1951 and seeks to introduce youth to the exciting and well-paying careers in the fields of engineering including civil, mechanical, electrical, agricultural, chemical, computer, aeronautical, biological and ventilating, (just to name a few).

The key objectives of this week include:
1. Celebrate how engineers make a difference in our world.
2. Increase public dialogue about the need for engineers.
3. Bring engineering to life for kids, educators, and parents.
