DESCRIPTION:
World Giraffe Day falls on June 21. Created by Giraffe Conservation Foundation, this event aims to educate people more about the giraffe. Held on the longest day or night of the year, on World Giraffe Day this year, the focus is on the Masai giraffe of Kenya and Tanzania. This particular species of giraffe is in danger of extinction due to loss of settlement and human intervention.
