DESCRIPTION:
Kajari teej (Badi teej) is a Hindu holiday celebrated in lunar month of Bhadrapud.
Women observe a day-long fast for their husbands. In the evening, they worship the goddess Parvati and pray for the well-being and long life for their husbands.
Kajari teej is observed mostly in the northern and Eastern part of India, most notably in the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. It is similar to Hariyali Teej, but the Kajari Teej is considered more auspicious.
