Today is the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ratification on July 26, 1990.
The ADA protects against discrimination based on disability. It expanded the Civil Rights Act of 1964, making discrimination based on race, religion, sex, and national origin illegal. Thanks to the ADA, employers must provide reasonable accommodations to employees with disabilities and accessibility to public areas for those with disabilities.
