National Sisters' Day occurs on the first Sunday in August and coincides with World Friendship Day.
This celebration honors the bond between sisters, whether genetically linked, step, or through shared experience. It's a day to show your sister your appreciation and spend time together if possible.
Don't have a sister?
Consider volunteering with organizations that mentor young people like Big Brother's and Big Sisters of America. It's a great way to spend your time and make a difference in a young person's life.
By this time next year, you could well have a sister (or brother) to celebrate with!
