National Headache & Migraine Awareness Month seeks to raise awareness about headaches and their undervalued effect on our health.
Every year, the National Headache Foundation (NHF) organizes a series of events across the country, education the public about all the different reasons for headaches, and the importance of a quick reaction once you start feeling pain.
The objectives of this month are:
1) To gain recognition of headache pain as a real and legitimate condition:
2) To encourage those with headache or migraine to see a healthcare provider for proper diagnosis and treatment;
3) To let individuals with headache know that there are new treatments available.
