AMD (Age-related macular degeneration) is a leading cause of vision loss. It affects more than 2 million Americans aged 50 and older.

Programs focus on promoting aids for low vision that enable people to make the most of their remaining vision. Optometrists and others supply information on eye diseases, warning signs, and treatment.
