DESCRIPTION:
Narasimha Jayanti is a celebration of the triumph of good over evil.
In the Hindu faith, Narasimha Jayanti marks the fourth reincarnation of Lord Vishnu into half man and half lion. By becoming half man and half lion, Lord Vishnu could end the tyranny of Hiranyakashipu and redirect all people on the path to Dharma.
Devotes of Lord Vishnu often observed this day with fasts, prayers, pumas, and offerings of gram sprouts to the god.
