Hagfish aren't exactly pretty, and they're downright ugly and look like something out of an Alien movie. But what they do is critical to the ocean ecosystem. Like snails, they ooze slime everywhere as they clean up the ocean floor and keep it tidy. Today is about learning about this often unknown creature and its importance in keeping our oceans clean.
