DESCRIPTION:
Cordon Bleu Day celebrates the decadent sandwich invented in the United States in 1967, the Cordon Bleu.
The chicken Cordon Bleu is a piece of cheese wrapped in a slice of ham and stuffed inside a butterflied chicken breast which is breaded and fried. Previous versions used veal or pork pounded thin, then rolled around the stuffing, breaded, and fried.
