Palm Sunday is the day Christians celebrate Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem and the Sunday before the resurrection), General Lee's of the Confederate Army surrendered to General Grant of the Union Army at Appomattox Court House in Virginia. This event closed one of the bloodiest eras in American history, known as the Civil War.
