Originally started as a yearly national event in 1956 to promote the benefits of home ownership and the value of using a REALTOR® in real estate transactions, American Home Week has gone through many changes.
Although the National Association of Realtors is no longer involved in American Home Week, it is celebrated during the second whole week in April. It is embraced by home improvement, home decor, gardening, and related industries.
Local REALTOR® associations, which choose to recognize this event, are free to decide on appropriate dates that fit their schedules.
