Babe Ruth Day marks the anniversary of the New York Yankees honoring the star baseball player at their stadium on April 27, 1947.
Babe Ruth, or ‘The Babe,’ is considered one of the greatest baseball players, if not the greatest. He was famous for his home runs.
Babe Ruth played for the Yankees for 15 years, from 1920 through 1935. This event at the stadium occurred one year before he died.
