Hoarders & Pack Rats Day addresses hoarding issues and aims to raise awareness about the seriousness of the problem.
When most people hear the word "Hoarder," they view it as funny, and few people manage to recognize hoarding as the obsessive-compulsive disorder that it is.
The most famous pack rat of the 20th century is artist Edward Gorey. He collected everything from mummy's heads to salt shakers. Gorey died in 2000.
