Meat Free May in the United Kingdom highlights the effects of consuming meat on the body and the planet.
One cause of greenhouse gas emissions is livestock contributing to deforestation and climate change. The supply of fish in the oceans is also diminishing. Vegan and Vegetarian groups believe that if people eliminated meat or shifted to a lower-meat diet, there would be fewer deaths and reduced environmental damage.
