DESCRIPTION:
The Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, Five-Five Festival, or Zhongxiao Festival occurs in China near the summer solstice and celebrates fealty, filial, and piety. It is a public holiday in China, popular with tourists, in which long canoes are dressed as dragons and race each other. The tradition is held in Chinese communities near water throughout the world. It always occurs in the Chinese calendar on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.
