DESCRIPTION:
National Petroleum & Natural Gas Day focuses on the Petroleum and Natural Gas industries and the role each plays in our lives. It marks the anniversary of the discovery of oil in Titusville, Pennsylvania, on August 27, 1859, and this discovery became the first commercially successful oil well in the world.
The first oil drawn from the ground occurred in China in 347 AD.
