The term "Rainbow Bridge" refers to crossing over from life to the afterlife.
Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is about honoring pets that have crossed the bridge and left this life. If you're a pet parent, you know how devastating the loss of a pet can be. In many cases, they're with you for 15-20 years (longer than many marriages). Relationships with pets sustain us and provide invaluable companionship. Today is the day to celebrate the pets you've cherished throughout your life.
