The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is working with state and local safety partners around the nation to remind drivers and motorcyclists about the dangers of impaired driving and riding; it puts everyone on the road in danger.
Several campaigns are deployed during this week to help the public understand that impaired driving in a vehicle or on a motorcycle is not safe. Law enforcement will remind drivers to Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over for drunk driving. Drunk driving isn't the only risk on the road: Among several others, drug-impaired driving is also a danger on America's roads. We want Americans to know: If You Feel Different, You Drive Different. Drive High, Get a DUI. For the motorcycling community, the message is Ride Sober or Get Pulled Over.
